Obituary of George John Somogyvary

SOMOGYVARY, George John passed away January 3, 2023 at age 68 from complications related to Alzheimer's. Son of Kalman and Giselle, brother to Gloria (Harvey) and Kalman, husband to Denise Lesperance, father to Matt (Michelle), Carla, and Dane (Genevieve), grandfather to Alexis, Jocelyn and Natalie, uncle to Erin, Adam and Sara. George was an ambitious and hardworking man. His careers spanned construction work, engineering and financial planning. He always had a good idea. He loved animals and making children laugh. He liked splashing around in the pool, going camping, tennis, sailing, dancing and traveling. Private cremation to happen Monday, January 9. Celebration of life Tuesday, January 10 from 7-9 pm at the Belle River Legion. Donations can be made to the Alzheimer Society of Windsor & Essex County.
