Ernie was a carpenter by trade, then, throughout his life, worked proudly at many jobs to provide for his family. Milk man, custodian, line worker, whatever it took. This work ethic was tacitly passed on to his children. Ernie was a strong, quiet man, always with a warm smile. The family wishes to thank the incredible St. Elizabeth PSWs and the VON nurses that compassionately and professionally cared for Ernie in his final years. These folks all went above and beyond their duties to ensure he was comfortable and as happy as possible. They were invaluable to our family. You know who you are. Also special thanks to the Palliative Care Team from Hospice of Windsor that made it possible for Ernie to pass in peace and dignity, at home, with his family by his side. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Ernie’s name to the Hospice Of Windsor and Essex County and Parkinson Society Southwestern Ontario (www.parkinsonsociety.ca). A funeral mass will be held at St. Anne Catholic Church, 12233 Tecumseh Rd. E., Tecumseh ON, on Wednesday, November 30th at 11:00 AM with the family greeting friends and family at 10:00 AM.
