Val and I were members of a women's group. She was a wonderful person. Outspoken. Hardworking. I remember her saying that when she wanted to work in the garden and was in pain, hey, she just took pain pills.
I used to quickly leave our group as I knew my husband was waiting to pick me up. That annoyed Val. 'Let him wait,' she said! Somehow I never could.
She lived not too far from my house and I used to drive over to see her garden. I am/was a gardener too, so wanted to see what she was doing.
May Val's soul rest in peace, and rise in glory.
