Death seldom is a life experience anyone is ever ready to embrace. I haven’t seen Mrs. Thelma aka cousin Thelma since I was just a little girl no more than 5 or 6, but the memories I do recall of her are gentle, I recall a smile even now I not sure if that’s simply her natural facial expression but there was always a slight smile on her face, I remember her beautiful skin tone. I’ve always thought she was beautiful inside and out . I’ve never heard her raise her voice but when I would come over to play with Gail, I recall cousin Thelma was always cooking or cleaning. Even as I write what I recall it’s as if I’m seeing her in my mind. Cousin Thelma, though you’ve crossed over more than 10 years prior to my coming across your death announcement please know because it is said that the dead always knows what the living are doing: Know this you will always hold a special place in my heart. You are among the women in my life that have inspired me and taught me even when you didn’t know you were teaching how to be a lady! May God have mercy on your soul. May your wonderful memories that you’ve imparted on others make a positive impact in the world of the living. REST!
