Obituary of Lucien "Luke" Letain
Obituary
On Sunday, June 27, 2021, husband, father, grandfather, uncle, cousin and friend Lucien “Luke” Letain of Charlie Lake, BC passed away suddenly at his home. Luke was 76.
Luke’s big personality and contagious laugh will be forever remembered by his wife of nearly 48 years, Lynn, Children Len (Donna), Mike (Tracy), Kari (James) and Jessie (Jeff). Grandchildren Lara, Julien, Lexus, Katie and Jake, Brother Marcien (Jeanette), sister Jackie (Gord), Sisters-in-law Cindy and Della, many nieces, nephews and friends in most provinces. Luke was predeceased by his father Julien, mother Adelaide, brothers Paul, Vital, and Pete, and sister Brigette.
Luke was born February 15, 1945 in Ste Rose du Lac, MB and was raised on a farm in rural Manitoba near Laurier. In his younger years, he married and was given his two sons. In 1973, Luke met his forever love Lynn, who later blessed him with two daughters. From Ontario to BC with their two girls in tow, Luke worked hard, played hard, and left an impression on everyone he connected with. In 1988, with many stops along the way, Luke and family settled in Williams Lake, BC where they remained until 2005 when they relocated north to Fort St John, BC. Luke retired from the trucking industry in 2010. He was a talented woodworker who loved hunting, camping, country music and a good stiff drink.. He was very proud of his four children, but his grandkids were the lights of his life and they made many memories together.
At Luke’s request, he will be cremated and there will be no service. Instead, the family asks you to throw on some good old country music, pour a drink and reminisce; he would like that.
