Mike had a contagious laugh and that little grin. My favorite memory of Mike was one time when we were working together in Fort Nelson. He was starting a new facility and I was supervising a service rig one mile away. Mike was so determined to get this new facility on stream that two nights in a row he slept in his truck rather than drive back to his hotel room in Fort Nelson. I brought him meals, coffee and cigarettes to keep him going. Not many guys had that much drive or ambition. Rest in peace MIke. A good guy gone way too young. My sincere condolences to his entire family.

Mike, you will be missed by the numerous lives you touched. Working with you was always a pleasure. From the morning talks around Lisas desk that always accomplished more than just coffee talk. To the time we were doing remote deactivations and we lost the N2 bottles in the snow. We had to admit we werent as young as we once were, as we were sweated up trying to get those darn bottles back into the sled. To the time you fake fired me and had all the office staff in on it. Your unique sense of humour, your contagious laugh, and all the memories will never be forgotten!

We were deeply saddened to hear the passing of Mike. Mike was a wonderful friend and although we only had the pleasure of knowing him for the past 7 years, we have a lifetime of wonderful memories of him and his infectious smile and laugh. We could always count on Mikey to bring us to tears with his comical comments regarding Peking Duck and Blue Cheese. We will miss you buddy. With love; Pete and Lori Florchinger

It was such a shock to hear of Mike's passing. Although I rarely had the pleasure of his company, over the years I heard stories and saw photos from brother Tim and Sandy, and from brother Ken, who posted the beautiful fishing photographs on this Tribute Wall. I knew Mike as handsome and vibrant, just as he is in Ken's photographs. Primarily though, I knew of him as a loving father and family man. Robin and I send our heartfelt condolences to Mike's family and friends ... Aunt Gwen

Micheal, my heart is broken, I lost you way too soon. I wish I could trade places with you. I love you so much and will miss so many things about you. You were loved by so many and had the respect of so many. You lived hard, played hard, and had a incredible laugh that I will never forget. I would give anything to here you say hey Mom again. I will hold you in my heart forever, you will always be in my dreams. Until we see each other again be at peace baby, until then I will cry an ocean of tears and think of you always, love you baby boy, Mom!

I was so saddened to hear of Mike's passing. I have known Mike since he was just a young child, his father and I were very close friends. He often posted on his Facebook about his wife and family and how much he loved them. My sincerest condolences to Darcy and his family. To lose a man in the very prime of his life is such a terrible thing.
