Dearest Ardis. I was very sorry to learn of Vern's passing. I have so many happy memories of playing fastball with and against Vern, Beer Ball slow pitch in Rolla, and many other varied get togethers over the past decades. Vern was always so good-spirited and the life of any party. I will especially miss how, for many years, we solved most of the World's problems during my visits, every month or two, to your place on a Sunday afternoon. Hot coffee and fresh baking were the standard fare! I always knew Vern was hurting so much, but he never let that get in the way of our afternoon of laughter.
