Obituary
It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Sheila Marie Jenkins at Fort St John Hospital on August 18th, 2023 surrounded by family.
Sheila Marie Jenkins was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She was born in Vancouver, BC on February 9th, 1946. Sheila was the eldest of 11 children and moved to the Peace River area in 1977, where she called Taylor her home.
Sheila was a devoted mother to her seven children, Rosemarie (David) Cazes, Clayton Jenkins, Roxanne (Ronnie) Krieger, Shannon (Mike) L'Heureux, Melanie (Curtis) Rose, Cassandra Dalzell, and Morene Beyer. She was also a proud grandmother and great grandmother to numerous grandchildren.
Sheila was a kind and gentle soul who was always willing to lend a helping hand. She was a foster parent, a Girl Guide leader, and a volunteer whenever she was needed. She was recognized as Foster Parent of the Year and received the prestigious Governor General's Award.
Sheila was a lover of life who enjoyed her family, friends, coffee, and her TV shows. She was always there to celebrate the accomplishments of her children and grandchildren.
Sheila will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. A small celebration of life will be held August 25th,2023 (12:00pm-4:00pm) at her home in Taylor BC. Please feel welcome to come have one last coffee with Mom.
Sheila Marie Jenkins will be remembered for her kind and gentle nature, her love of life, and her generous heart.
