Obituary of Charlie Louis Weaver

Charlie Weaver, passed away peacefully at the age of 77, surrounded by his Family at his residence in Fort Mohave, Arizona on the morning of January 28th, 2023 . Charlie was a decorated Army Veteran who served in the Vietnam War where he received his Expert Badge on the M14 Rifle, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Overseas Service Bar, and a Vietnam Campaign Medal with Devices. Charlie spent three years in active duty after which Charlie was Honorably Discharged from the Army in 1966.
Charlie Weaver was born on February 24, 1945, in Waco, TX to his parents Arthur and Lillian Weaver. When he was age 17 he decided to join the United States Army, and was stationed at Fort Eustis in Virginia.
Charlie married Dixie Jackson (former wife) while in the Army and to this union was born one daughter Shelia Weaver Smith (Hargaté). Shelia and Hargaté have two sons, Charles, and Jackson Smith.
Later in life Charlie married Mary Graves and they were married for 38 years, and Charlie became a Father to Mary's daughter Andrea Donnell Holmes (Henry), and a Father figure to Mary's Niece Enga Chatman which they reared together.
Charlie was a Maintenance Supervisor for three Chemical plants for a total of more than 30 years. Charlie enjoyed his job and was very dedicated to all of the people that he supervised and worked with.
When Charlie wasn't working, he enjoyed fishing, bowling, working on vehicles, camping, cross county driving, and most of all spending time with his family and friends.
Charlie was preceded in death by his parents; Arthur and Lillian Weaver, one sister, Marie (Lillian) Jackson and three brothers: Lewyn Weaver, Cecil Weaver, Edgar Weaver; and his former wife, Dixie Jackson.
Charlie is survived by his wife Mary Weaver, his daughters Shelia Weaver Smith, (Hargaté) Andrea Donnell Holmes (Henry), and Enga Chatman, Three Grandsons: Aaron Donnell (Ayesha), Charles Smith and Jackson Smith. Two sisters, Bernice Hampton, and Callie Watkins, and a host of Cousins, Nieces, Nephews, and Dear Friends.
The Family of Charlie Weaver want to Thank all of the Medical Personnel that was involved in his care, in any and every capacity.
A Graveside Service is scheduled for Friday, February 24, 2023 at 11:00 am where the family will honor Charlie's request to have a Military Honors Service at Desert Lawn Memorial Gardens 9250 S. Ranchero Lane, Mohave Valley, Arizona 86440 at his final resting place.
