Obituary of Joyce Ann Siford
Joyce Ann Siford, 88, of Fort Mojave, Arizona, peacefully passed away on October 19, 2022.
She was born on May 12, 1934, to William and Marie Ryan Reupke in the small town of Waterloo, Iowa. She spent her youth in Waterloo, and graduated from West High School in 1952. She was married in 1954, and lived many happy years as a military spouse. She raised her family in multiple locations until settling in San Diego, California. She entered the workforce at North Island Naval Air Base in a civil service capacity.
She was later recruited for a position as a revenue officer with the IRS. She eventually retired on June 2, 1997, with the U.S. Navy Public Works Center in San Diego, CA.
She remarried her "best friend" Norman "Sy" Siford of Omaha, Nebraska, on July 4, 1977. Joyce and "Sy" subsequently relocated to Fort Mojave, Arizona in 1997. They met new friends, enjoyed the surrounding desert, restaurants, and casinos while establishing life-long friendships. Joyce's hobby was creating handmade greeting cards for her family and friends. She never forgot a Birthday. She was very generous to all she knew.
Joyce was predeceased by her parents, her sisters, Helen Delagardelle (Willard)and Beverly Bassing, her brothers Gordon Reupke (Janet)and William (Billy) Reupke. She is survived by her husband, Norman "Sy" Siford and her three children, Wade Bodecker(Marlea), Jerene Gilliam and Karen Taylor (Jim), and brother-in-law Bing Bassing. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Nichole, Ryan (Kati), Jared, Jeremiah, and five great-grandchildren, Brendan, Molly, Kase, Kale,and Zoé.
