Obituary of Cora E. Bruce

COHOES - Cora E. Bruce, 91, of Cohoes, formerly of Keeseville, entered into rest on October 17, 2022. The daughter of the late Pearly and Susan (Brown) Weed, Cora was born in Keeseville on February 18, 1931, where she was raised and graduated high school. Cora relocated to Cohoes where she lived most of her adult life. She was formerly employed as a seamstress at Cohoes Manufacturing working well into her 70s. She retired 20 years ago. In her spare time, Cora used her skills as a seamstress and enjoyed crocheting, knitting, and sewing. Survivors include one granddaughter, Annette Marie and one grandson, Harold Bechore. She is also survived by her caregiver and niece, Anna Clukey, as well as great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. In addition to her parents, Cora was predeceased by her daughter, Hazel Stocklas in 1997. She was also predeceased by all three of her siblings: Charles, Nora, and Arthur. Cora will be laid to rest in her family plot during a private ceremony in the Evergreen Cemetery of Keeseville. Arrangements have been entrusted to The Riverview Funeral Home of Troy.
