What mattered most to Rosalie was family. She was the driving force in raising the five of us, always with a measure of practicality and a good sense of humour. Her unfaltering faith and her fortitude served her well during the last years caring for Dad. It was a lesson for all of us. She was also regarded by all of our friends as the sports aficionado, especially if it concerned her beloved Red Wings! She worked at Morand, Royal, and Southland Insurance and cherished till the end, the friendships she built there. The family wishes to thank the incredible nurses and physicians at HDGH Met Campus (Emergency and 7th floor) that compassionately and professionally cared for mom in her final days. These folks all went above and beyond their duties to ensure she was comfortable and as happy as possible. They were invaluable to our family. Also special thanks to the Team of Doctors, Nurses, PSWs and Volunteers from Hospice of Windsor that lovingly cared for mom in her final hours. You all know who you are. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Rosalie’s name to the Hospice of Windsor-Essex County. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Anne Catholic Church, 12233 Tecumseh Rd.
