Muriel was like a second Mom to me when I no longer had a mother at home. I was 17 and Dad drove us girls up to FSJ to be with her daughter Wendy. We stayed in the mobile home next to Bill's shop, we had the time of our lives that summer. My favorite white jeans got dirty. Muriel got the stain out for me, I was ever so grateful. We all called her "Mom" that summer, because that's what she was. I also remember in Calgary as a youngster. Muriel would have "Donut day", she could put Tim Horton's to shame. The best donuts ever! They would be everywhere there was a spot to put a donut it was filled. She always let us have one. Laundry day, was also a task she did regularly. She had the old spinner washer hooked to the taps, then hung out the laundry on the line to dry. Muriel and Bill raised 5 wonderful children, and now has many grandchildren. I hope they realize how lucky they are to have such a wonderful Mom and Grandmother. God rest her soul. I will always remember you. Sharon Anderson.
