Obituary of Max Morin

It is with sadness we announce the passing of Maxwell (Max) Morin, a resident of Pouce Coupe, British Columbia, on December 21, 2022, at the age of 77 years. Max was born on July 16, 1945 and was raised on the Morin family farm in Progress. In the seventies he moved into his home in Pouce Coupe where he lived until his passing on December 21, 2022. Max had a lifelong career working in the Peace Country; first operating equipment for many years, followed by working as a Plant Operator for various oil companies until his retirement. Max worked hard and played hard in his younger years. He previously enjoyed playing golf and spent a lot of time at the local hockey rinks watching family members play, sitting alongside, and enjoying the company of his friends and family. During his retirement years he could be found at home cheering on and watching his favorite sports teams on TV. Although Max did not get out as much in the last few years, he was grateful to be living independently, and appreciated hearing the stories, updates and shenanigans of those he loved, from his family and friends when they stopped in to visit. Max had a Papas brag book on his phone consisting of photos of his grandchildren, and great grandchildren. His day often started with a good cup of coffee, the news, and a visit to his brag book while he waited patiently for new pictures. Max cared for his wife Marie Morin at home until she transitioned to Rotary Manor a few years ago, and he continued to play a role in her care from home. Max was predeceased by his father Leo Morin, his mother Evelyn Morin, his brother Roy Morin, brother Leonard Morin, and his sister Gail Olsen. Max is survived by his wife Marie Morin, and will be greatly missed by his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, siblings, many nieces and nephews, long time neighbors, and extended family members. Max did not wish to have a formal funeral service, and an internment will take place at a later date. For friends so wishing, donations may be made in memory of Max to the Step up & Ride Society, 732 115 Avenue, Dawson Creek, British Columbia V1G 3B8 Very Respectfully, Reynars Funeral Home & Crematorium
