Obituary of Darlene Leslie Bennett

On 04.18.2023 Darlene Leslie Bennett (nee McKay) is reunited with her husband Donald A. Bennett. Also with long time companion Fred Pytell, previously of Michigan. She leaves behind her son Donald R. E. Bennett (Donnie), wife Cheryl and dear brother Bill McKay and sister-in-law Anita; niece and nephew Leslie and Michael; many extended family members and friends; and furry friend Maxina. Darlene was at the forefront of hairdressing and fashion in the local area for many years; bringing celebrities including Jeffrey Bruce to Windsor. Darlene was extremely strong and fought a brave fight with stage four cancer for 4 years. Special thank you to the extraordinary team in the palliative care unit at the Dr. Y. Emara HDGH Campus. Also to the compassionate staff at the Windsor Cancer Centre Met Campus. To LHIN, CCAC and everyone who supported the family in this journey. We could not have done it without each and everyone of these angels on earth. Darlene's wishes are for a private service; with final internment with her husband on Bennett Road to be determined at a later date. If you so desire, donations to the DR. Y.
