Obituary of Frank Kranicz
KRANICZ, Frank December 3, 1932 - March 21, 2023 We are deeply saddened to share the news of the passing of Frank Kranicz, who passed away peacefully with his family by his side at the age of 90. He was the heart and soul of Kranicz Orchards for many years, and his memory will live on through the legacy he left behind. Frank was born in Ozora, Hungary on December 3rd, 1932, and moved to Canada with his family in 1964. He married the love of his life, Ursula Kranicz, and together they had four children: Frank, Kathy, Susane, and Monika. He was a proud grandfather to eight grandchildren: Joey, Savannah, Magnus, Axsul, Boris, Hakon, Steve, and Savion. In 1977, Frank bought the farm to give the family dog more place to play, but his passion for growing peaches quickly turned into a family business. He was a true farmer at heart, and his dedication to the land was unwavering. Even in retirement, he could often be found driving his rusty 4610 Ford tractor around the orchard, surveying the crops. Frank was a devoted family man, a passionate farmer, and a true inspiration to all of us at the orchard. His commitment to quality and excellence, his love for growing peaches, and his kind and generous spirit will never be forgotten. We invite you to join us in honouring his memory by sharing your own memories and stories of him with us. We will always remember him as a beloved father, grandfather, and friend who touched so many lives in so many ways. Rest in peace, Opa. You will be deeply missed, but your spirit will forever live on in the orchard that you loved so much.
