Obituary of Stan Mikota P.Eng

Stan Mikota P.Eng September 14th, 1947 - March 16th, 2023 I lost my best friend, my husband, on Thursday March 16th 2023. My children lost their father, my grandchildren lost their grandpa. Stan passed away at Hotel-Dieu Grace Healthcare after a long challenge with cancer. He left us on his terms with strength, courage, dignity and grace. Stan is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Margaret Mikota (Windsor, ON), his son Paul Mikota (Ottawa,ON), daughter in-law Amy Mikota (Ottawa,ON), daughter Jennifer Mikota Lowe (Margaret River, AUS), son in-law Zac Lowe (Margaret River, AUS), grandsons, Ian and Evan Mikota (Ottawa,ON), granddaughter Kyra Mikota Lowe (Margaret River, Aus), dear brother of George Mikota (Vancouver, BC), sister in-law Katherine, as well as extended family. He will be truly missed. At his request, a virtual family celebration of life will be held at a later date. Donations in Stan’s honor can be made to Canadian Cancer Society or the Hospice of Windsor/Essex County. A special thanks to the Hotel-Dieu Grace Health Palliative Care Unit for the wonderful care given.
