To all the family, please accept my most sincere condolences. I had the great pleasure and honour of working with Lynda at two different secondary schools and valued her greatly as a friend and colleague. Over the years, we used to send each other greetings to mark the changing seasons. I feel a real loss knowing that we shall never do that again. Lynda, every time I see a full moon, I shall think of you.

I was very sorry to hear of Lynda's passing. I will always remember her kindness, warmth and genuine interest in other people's well-being so I firmly believe that that she will continue to look after her loved ones. Lynda always held a special place in my heart and I hope that she is in a better and happier place now; likely dancing in an ancient grove! Rest well Lynda, I hope you are at peace.

To Lynda's family, the world doesn't seem as bright these days. Her smile & laughter filled any room. I first met Lynda at Brock in 1980 & was happy when she joined the Hunter family where her admin talents were greatly appreciated. She so enjoyed sharing about her family & always asked others about their's.
Her social skills made her a wonderful addition to any function. She will be terribly missed but know in some way she will continue to guide all of you. Deepest sympathy.

I first met Lynda at General Brock school in 1981, my first year teaching. She was such a wonderful person who really helped me out by being so friendly and kind. Later we knew each other through the reserve forces. I was in the army and she was in the navy - she was so funny and always made us laugh. So sorry to hear of her passing. My sincere condolences. She will always be fondly remembered.

Sending my deepest sympathies to Greg, Angie and Sarah. I have so many wonderful memories of your mom when we were young women raising our kids together. We attended school functions, hockey games and had so many laughs together, as well as supported each other during more difficult times. Lynda had an infectious laugh which made me laugh too! She was so proud of her kids and was always super busy. Lynda would joke around that housekeeping was at the bottom of her list of things to do. She holds a special place in my heart and I know she will be with you always. RIP dear friend.

I will never forget Ms. Goatbe's kindness. Before I went away for university, she and the other secretaries gave me a bunch of things (mugs, plates, cutlery, a blanket, and more) to help get me set up for my first apartment. 7 years later, and I still have those things. Ms. Goatbe even gave me a jar of home made jam that she made! She was an amazing person and I will miss her very much.

Lynda was like a mother to me at Massey. We both shared the love for jewelry and nature. She was a very kind, caring and generous person. Her energy and laughter were contagious. She loved her family dearly. My condolences to Sarah and the family.

My deep condolences to the family.
I first met Lynda when she enrolled at HUNTER (around 1990 give or take a year). Although she was older than your typical recruit, she was so bubbly and full of energy, that she quickly made friends with everyone in the Junior Ranks Mess and then the Chiefs and PO"s Mess. Lynda was kind and caring, helping out us “starving” students with an occasional care package. We were bridesmaids together at another friend's (Colleen) wedding and Lynda made all our dresses. Somehow, they fit, even though I had to send her dress measurement estimates that were taken from the a metal fuel dipping tape on my Ship!! I was lucky enough to run into Lynda somewhat recently and she was the same, smiling, energetic woman that I first met all those years ago. It must be a devastating loss to your family, to lose such a loving Mom/Grandmother. My heart goes out to all of you.

I’m so sorry for the loss of your mother, grand mother and great grandmother. Lynda was an amazing woman and she loved each and every one of you with everything she had. The few times I met Lynda she was a very kind and sweet lady.
I remember when I was pregnant with Quin, Opal had brought over a few bags of small items probably left over from when Opal had Lil, Opal said “it’s from Gran”. Although it was something small I’ll always remember that.
As you navigate this new journey in life, know that she may not be physically here with you but she is watching over you every step of the way. Love you guys all so much!❤️

I didn't know Lynda well, but I will never forget her. We worked together at Massey and she took me for a walk one day on lunch to Oakwood Bush and we looked at all of the flora and she pointed out some trilliums to me. She was a wonderful person and I am sorry for the tremendous loss to your family.
