Obituary of Don Lucier
We are saddened to announce the peaceful passing of our father, Donald J. Lucier (82 years) on March 16, 2023 at Erie Shores Healthcare. Survived by his children, Donald A. (Jeanne), Vicky, Stephen, and Melissa (Tim). Stepfather to Debbie Hunter (Pete), Danny Meloche (Patty), Michelle Masters (Jim). Proud pipi to Zachary, Avery, Holly, Noah, Jacob, Aidan, Kaylee, Kenzie, Peter, Shayne, Nicholas, Stuart, Tracy, Erika, Carissa and Joshua. Predeceased by his parents Jacob and Anna Lucier. Loving brother to the late Hector (Dolores), Joseph (Giselle), late Albert (the late Pauline), Leo (Dorothy), Ernest (Janette), the late Lawrence (Pat), Alfred (Donna), and the late Janette (Leonard). “Fun Uncle Don” will also be missed by his many nieces and nephews. Throughout his career, Don was active in the construction community. He ran several of his own businesses and was involved in other family-run enterprises including Lucier Drainage Supplies, Lucon Industries, Lucier Estates, and Wildwood Golf & RV Resort. Don was proud to be one of the founding members of the Heavy Construction Association of Windsor over 50 years ago. He was a member and past Grand Knight of Knights of Columbus Council 2844 in McGregor. He enjoyed his cabin in Ironbridge and shooting the breeze with his coffee buddies at John’s Place in Paquette Corner. A Celebration of Life will be held at the McGregor Community Centre, 9571 Walker Road (behind St. Clement Parish) on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 from 2-5 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to a charity of your choice or to the fund for a bench that will be placed in Don’s honour at Wildwood Golf & RV Resort, where he resided for the last 25 years
