Obituary of Wayne Keith Jones

“DJ Wayne Jones” “Never say goodbye- See you later” September 27th, 1949- February 16th, 2023 Son of the late Elizabeth Fergeson and Thomas Jones. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Wayne Keith Jones, on February 16th, 2023, after a strong fight to the very end battling cancer, he peacefully passed away in the comfort of his home in Essex Ontario, in the arms of the love of his life Judy Marie Jones (Wallace) he was very thankful to have married Judy, 11 days before his passing. Former Husband of Silja Jones, Mother of their Children. Loving and devoted father to Jennifer and Son-in-law Jason, Keith and Daughter in law Susananna, Stepfather to Kimberly (Matt) and Stephanie (Moises) Loving Grandpa to Allie (Tyler) and Cory, Maija-Liisa and Noah, Hunter and Owen. Loving Great Grandfather to Benjamin and Hunter. Wayne was Predeceased by his brother Samuel, (Susan), Loving Brother of Billy (Joan) Mary-Ellen (Danny) Paul (Lynn), Robyn (Richard), Wendy (Dave) and Wayne's sister Ceciley (Stephen) He will be missed by all his nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends. Wayne was a devoted family man and hard worker. Many of his years were spent working for Miracle food mart but his true passion in life was being a DJ and brining everyone together with music. Wayne was voted one of the number one DJS of York region. He took great happiness in all the years he volunteered for the Terry Fox Run and the Heart and Stroke Foundation providing music. Aside from the many weddings and events, Wayne also had a big karaoke family that will miss him very much. Wayne went peacefully knowing the legacy of his DJ company “Wayne Jones DJ services” will live on through his business partner Rockin Rick Wayne loved his sports (Go Hawks Go), ice cream dates, Golfing, gardening in the spring, casino trips, and Vacationing in Vegas. It is hard to find one photo where Wayne does not have a thumbs up. The family would like to thank all the staff at Southlake Regional Hospital and Windsor Regional Hospital, and all the endless medical staff involved in his care for the last year. A special thank you to his primary Nurse Seana from Paramed for her professional and extraordinary care. As per Waynes wishes, Cremation has taken place and his celebration of life will be held at the Aurora Legion in Aurora, Ontario on Sunday February 26th, 2023, service to begin at 2:00 P.M 105 Industrial Pky N, AURORA ONTARIO L4G 4C
