Obituary of Ronald James Peters

PETERS, Ronald James September 29, 1949 - February 7, 2023 It’s with heavy hearts the family of Ronald James Peters announces his peaceful passing at the age of 73. Beloved husband to Jackie Peters (nee Mallen). Cherished father to Ronald John Peters (Sylvia) and Tammy Murray, and step-father to Wendi Hartleib (David) and Steven Gaudette (Stephanie). Proud grandfather to Brittany Downes Peters, Ashley Hartleib (Kyle), and Samantha Hartleib (Connor). Forever remembered by his siblings Dave Peters (Linda), Linda Acchione (Sandy), Ken Peters (Cindy), Debbie Price (Mike), Jimmy Marchand, and in-laws Gerry Mallen (Gloria) and Vina Campbell (Walter, 1996). Ronald is predeceased by his parents Doris Marchand (2014) (Jim, 2013) & Vernon Peters (1988), and his sister Carol Proulx (2022) (the late Gary, 2011). Ron was a proud member of the Canadian Power and Sail Squadron (Windsor Division) for 29 years and proudly held the A.P.P. Designation. Ron’s happy place was out on the water. The only thing that made Ron happier than being on the water was when he had his three granddaughters with him. Special thank you to Ron's lifelong friends, Don, Rick, and John for all of the visits, phone calls, and dinners. The family would like to extend their sincere thanks and appreciation to the Doctors and staff at Windsor Hospice and St. Elizabeth. Special thank you to nurse Krysten who has been our rock for this last year. At Ron’s request, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Private cremation has taken place.
