Marcel and family. There are no words for the loss of Maureen, a genuine soul who was loved and cherished by everyone who knew her. She was always so welcoming and generous, we loved spending time with her when we visited. She always had some fabulous food, drinks and treats for us to sample. She will be greatly missed. I feel very grateful to have had Aunt Maureen as my godmother. I will always remember her as being very kind-hearted and cheerful. As a child, I always looked forward to attending Christmas celebrations at mémé and pépé Sam’s house where I was guaranteed to receive a cool toy from my godparents. Aunt Maureen never disappointed! I am also very grateful for the effort Aunt Maureen made to attend Jean-Pierre’s baby shower in Toronto with my mom. She made a great impression on Vanessa’s family and several people at the baby shower commented on how I have such a nice aunt. The clothing that Aunt Maureen knit for JP will be treasured for years to come. I know this to be true, because I still have the brown and white sweater with a ‘’D’’ on it that she knit for me over 45 years ago. Both will remain testaments to her love and thoughtfulness. I will miss you Aunt Maureen.

Years ago Maureen joined The Ladies of the Euchre Night and became fast friends with all of us. Besides playing cards we came together to laugh, cry, share with, and support each other. We loved and admired so much about Maureen—her kindness, generosity, and boundless hospitality. We admired her culinary skills and beautiful knitting which she generously bestowed on all of us. Her compassionate nature touched each one of us in our time of trouble. We have wonderful memories of our many good times. We will always love and miss you dear Maureen.
