Obituary of Hazel Eva Champagne (nee Wilder)

CHAMPAGNE, Hazel Eva (nee Wilder) September 1, 1926 - February 1, 2023 Hazel Champagne, age 96, passed away peacefully in her sleep on February 1, 2023. Hazel was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be sadly missed by her family. Hazel was pre-deceased by her loving husband, Louis Joseph (August 5, 1998). She is survived by her children, Sharon Boufford (Len), Diane Menard (Raymond), Derrick Champagne (Darlene) and Joan Lamotte (Terry), her brother Gordon Wilder, and sisters, Marlene Kirkwood and Barbara Penga. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, February 4, 11 am. at Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church, 711 McEwan Ave., Windsor. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and palliative care teams on the seventh floor at Metropolitan Hospital. In memory of Hazel, donations can be made to Windsor Regional Hospital - Metropolitan Campus. A Celebration of Life will be planned in the future.
