Wayne and I met in Grade 3 and at 14 shared our first drink in a bar together at The Three Bears. The Pheby’s introduced me to Lori and the rest is history. Wayne was my Best man and friend for life, 57 years with so many memories of time spent together, skiing at Blue, vacations down south, watching the boys grow and just hanging in Wayne’s garage. We always looked forward to our trips back to Windsor where the Pheby’s welcomed us with open arms, where a good time was guaranteed with great food and lots of laughter. Dearest Franca,
My heart cries for you as I read the obituary. I met Wayne in Scottsdale, Arizona at the Club Excellence conference, almost 20 years ago, where you had earned your place at a member. Together, I recall, you were inseparable. A beautiful couple, inside and out. Aside from being tall and handsome, he had a way with people. He knew how to make one feel important in his eyes, a good listener and conversationalist. Charming, kind and warm. I cannot imagine your loss and pain. I pray that this poem brings you some relief: "Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal." .
