I will always remember talking with Bill when he would come to visit his sister Helen Beable when he would come to her house on Churchill Street in Chatham. Helen and Roy always treated me like their own daughter and I got to know her family during my times at their house. RIP Bill he will be missed by all who knew him.

First met Bill through the Jaycees and later at the Gas. Bill taught me about paying it forward, a truly 'gentle'man, Bill believed in Volunteerism and when you leave, to find someone to pick up the mantle since he knew Volunteer organizations depend on their members to fill their open spots.
A force in life he may not have played the game but would have been a handful if he had, a big man with an even bigger heart.

I'm so sorry to learn of Bill's death.
Attending my first OHF meeting many years ago, Bill was the first person I met at the opening breakfast. As I walked into the dining room, Bill left his table and approached me saying he thought I was new and would be attending the meetings.. He invited me to sit and have breakfast with him. We immediately became friends. I had many special times with Bill and his good buddy Don Yeck. The two of them were great people and hockey men. The laughs and good times will always be a special memory for me. Bill was a true friend, a gentleman and a wonderful ambassador for our game. He cared and was unselfish as he was always available to pick up any thing that needed assistance.
I send sincere sympathy, thoughts and prayers

The two men who had the greatest influence on my life were my dad and Bill. And I know my dad was proud to call Bill his friend. I was fortunate that Bill took the time to be my mentor and friend for the many years we worked together at the Union Gas Training Department. I’m one of the blessed who experienced Bill’s kindness and compassion and owe much of whatever success I have had to him.
Thanks Bill. I will always have great memories.

Q: What will you never forget about Bill?
A: Love you Grandpa! I’ll never forget your big smile, big hugs and the tickle attacks you used to give us as kids. So glad I got to see you last time I was home and you got to spend some time with Maple. I wish you could have met Ivy in person and the baby boy in my tummy but I know you will be watching over us now. Love you forever xoxo

Bill was such a great man. Always a smile and conversation whenever we crossed paths at Union Gas. I also remember him from his time in Jaycees with my Dad, Curtis Carter. I'm not sure I will ever meet another man who was so nice as your husband, Dad, Grandpa. He will definitely be missed.
Sincerely,
Karen (Carter) Pynenbrouck
