Obituary of Gloria Thibert Demeter

Gloria Demeter (nee Thibert) Surrounded by loved ones, Gloria peacefully went home to God’s loving arms, on January 1, 2023 at the age of 76. Reunited with her parents Noel (1989) and Lillian (2017) Thibert (nee Poitras). Cherished wife of Joseph Demeter, Dear mother of Denise (Grant) Westlake, Loving meme of Jess (Britney) and Matthew (Meaghan), Beloved sister of Art (Marianne), Sister in-law Yvonne (2003), Jeanne Renaud (Don), Robert (Debbie), Gerard (Kim), and Donald (Sandy). Gloria (Auntie Gogo) is survived by many nieces, nephews and God-children who meant the world to her. Gloria was a retired French teacher, who graciously gave her time to the Catholic Women’s League, Ladies Auxiliary. She will be remembered for her love of family and her generous heart. Visitation will be held January 10, 2023, at 10:00 am, at Good Shepherd Parish, 462 Advance Blvd, Lakeshore, with a Funeral Mass to follow at 11:00 am. Luncheon provided at 12:30 pm at The Tecumseh Legion 12326 Lanoue St., Tecumseh.
