Obituary of Mary Elizabeth Proksch

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Beth on December 29th, 2022, at the amazing age of 95. Loving Wife to Al (1992). Adored mother to Kim (Tom) Bradd, Roy (Cathy) Proksch, Eric (Lisa) Proksch, Bonnie Lelievre. Cherished Nana to Paula, Alexander, Clark, Jillian, TJ, and Spencer. Dear sister to McNeil “Mac” Doherty (1980) and sister in-law, Donna Beckett, who was more like a sister to mom. Dear Aunt Beth to Lori (Ray) Semple, Cathy (Craig) Greening, and Linda Harris. Mom was happiest spending time with her family and grandchildren, or playing a good game of euchre. She belonged to a euchre club for over 60 years, where she made lifelong friends. Mom was also an avid Detroit Tigers fan, "Go Tigers!" Mom’s career began as a Bookkeeper for Beaver Oil, then moved on to A.J. Gervais Furs, from where she joyfully retired. A special thank you to Colleen for being such a dear friend to mom, and making every Thursday so special for her. Thank you to the staff at Shoreview at Riverside for their kind and compassionate care over the years, and a very special thank you to Hanna, Jackie, Alex, and Carrie, for their exceptional care. She loved you all! We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the staff at Windsor Regional Hospital, floor 5 North, for their care of mom for the last few days, and especially Nurse Trisha, whose kindness and compassion will never be forgotten. Per mom’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Until we meet again, Nana.
