The curling community in Windsor could not have had a better friend our supporter than Tedd. We have supported many of Tedd's incredible initiatives over the years.
The Windsor Curling Club's induction into the Windsor and Essex County Hall of Fame was entirely due to Tedd's hard work and commitment to the sport he loved.
We are now using Tedd's book as a reference guide to the rich history of curling in the area.
Tedd will always remain in our hearts and minds.
Jim MacLachlan, President WCCSA

Todd and the entire Szalay family,
Please accept my sincerest condolences on the passing of your father. I will miss the weekly exchange of emails with Tedd as he always willing to take on any subject in which he felt was not right. I can’t imagine how many letters and emails that he has sent to various political figures over the years from the Prime Minister down. I enjoyed golfing with him and of course admired how he looked after our mutual friend Peter Cooley. You’ve had a rough couple of months and I know exactly what you’re going through as I experienced the same loss many years ago. May your many fond memories of your father sustain you all during this most difficult time. RIP Tedd.

We met @ Walkerville C.I. in the 50s, grads from Prince Edward School (Ted) and Gordon McGregor (Bill K). Our curriculum centred within the sports sphere with Ted's interest focused on the indoor court at that time. The legal field would have served him well but basketball was well within His skillset amongst His other talents. Reacquainting came in the mid 60s where Marta K and Marilyn S shared husbands disposed to the design field by way of construction as a profession. Many social and professional shared interests followed with superlative exchanges and constructive outcomes within the most prolific capacity to serve the CofW and the public interest to the best of our capability. Obviously, Ted, within in his engineering mindset had insight in what His design cohort could achieve. Several landmarks appeared from that association serving municipal interests and the future welfare of the citizens of Windsor. Ted, the St Paul pumping station as it currently stands materialized when We put Our heads together and will assuredly stand for the ages as the tribute to your intuitive vision to be recognized by future generations. Marilyn, you certainly picked a winner and a loving husband/father. God be with both of you on the Rink and on the Course and let the Roseland history inspire others to emulate your accomplishments >/Bill & Marta Kachmaryk
