Obituary of Kenneth John Power

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Kenneth John Power of Lasalle at the age of 79 years. Son of the late Martin and Annie Power. Beloved husband of 57 years to Muriel Elizabeth Power (nee Sorrell). Devoted father to Marcy Power (Jamal Schultz) and Andrew Power (Kara Gagnier). Proud Bampa to Kaden Andrew Power and Hunter Kenneth Power. Ken will be sadly missed by his in-laws Dorothy Wood (late George). Donna Sorrell (late Fred), Evelyn & Al Hillman, Harry Sorrell (Daisy). He will be missed by many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by six siblings Peter, Bill, Moe, Florence, Reginald, and Terry, and in laws Ron & Joyce Sorrell. Ken worked at Kelsey Hayes for 25 years, he loved fishing, hunting, playing cards, games, country music, animals and especially his buddy Mika. He was known for his love of plaid shirts and the Toronto Maple Leafs, but most of all he loved his friends and family. Ken was my rock. Ken gave of himself never expecting anything in return. October 2nd was our 57th wedding anniversary and even though 57 years is a long time somehow, it's never enough. Marcy, Jamal, Andrew and Kara thank you for never leaving my side and for loving your dad so deeply. We will keep him in our hearts and will never forget the wonderful man he was Thank you to everyone who reached out to our family with your kind words. We are truly blessed. Love you all.
