Obituary of Joyce Schuchard

Grief is very powerful. It saddens our hearts that our mom has passed on. Sometimes heaven opens its doors to receive someone that we are not ready to let go of yet. That happened to our family on October 31, 2022. Our dear mom, grandma, great-grandma and good friend has passed away and we were not ready yet, but mom was. Loving mother to Vicki (Elwyn), Lauree (Cliff), Lee (Carol), Tracey and Rick (Debbie). Loving grandmother to Ryan (Shannon), Kari (Shaun), Dustin (Felicia), Elie, Tanya (Chantel), Nicole (Joe), Meagan (Jason), Marc (Kristen), Kelilah (Tyler), Ben (Brittany), Krystal and Kyle. Great-grandmother to many beautiful, talented young children. Mom had so many roles in life. Wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, gardener, crafter, organizer, traveler, salesperson. The role she and her sisters all excelled at was running Dodi's Boutique at Dorwin Plaza. All of us have many fond memories of visiting and sometimes working with with our mom and aunts. Mom was lucky enough to have found love a second time in life with Fred Cooper. She lived and travelled with Fred who also predeceased mom. Mom joins our dad Lorne and their two sons Randy and Brad. The whole group will be watching over us all. Graveside service will take place Monday November 14, 2022 at noon, at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. A celebration of life meal will be held after the service. We will have picture boards set up and anyone that has a picture of mom can bring it along to add to the board (at the meal). Arrangements entrusted to SIMPLE CHOICE (DOUGALL), 519-254-2585. Online condolences may be shared with Joyce’s family at www.simplechoicecremation.ca
