Obituary of Carol Girard

It is with heavy hearts and deep love, we announce the peaceful passing of our mother Carol Girard on October 28, 2022, at the age of 85, with family by her side. Loving and devoted wife of 50 years to Ray (2006). Loving companion of Ernie Rondeau (2018). The most amazing mother and friend to Karen (Larry Silani), Colleen (David Gibb) and Kevin Girard. Proud Grandma to Andrea Silani (Caroline), Natalie Silani, Dustin, Hayley (Lyle) and Austin Girard. Great Grandma to L.J., Colten and Lacey. Dear Sister to the late Lois MacEachern, Dorothy Gillis, Noreen Cote, Jim, Bob, Fred and Jerry Linton. Sister-in-law to the loving Girard family. Carol is survived by many nieces and nephews and extended family members. Carol worked for the Catholic School Board for 25 years as an educational assistant. Her role in working with children with exceptionalities truly fulfilled her and she touched many lives. Carol had the ability to make those around her smile. Her zest for life was infectious and there were many family dance parties held at the Girard house! We hold those memories dear to our hearts. At Mom’s request, a private family celebration will be held. Cremation will take place at Heavenly Rest Cemetery, where she will rest with Ray. Although Mom’s time at Berkshire Care Centre was brief, the family wishes to thank the amazing 2nd floor staff for their kind, compassionate and excellent care. If you so desire, donations in memory of Carol can be made to the Alzheimer Society of Windsor and Essex County.
