Obituary of Bourque, Gérard,
Gérard Bourque, 72, of Abram Village (formally from Dieppe NB), passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on October 31 after a short battle with cancer.
Gérard was born on June 8 1950 to Aimé and Aurore (Robichaud) Bourque in Scoudouc NB. Retired after 35 years as a truck driver for Gentek Building products.
Gérard married Carol Arsenault. They went on to have four daughters, Monica (Kris), Lisa, Josette (Ryan) and Lynn (Daniel) and four grandchildren, Alex, Madeline, Katherine and Marissa.
Gérard spent his time traveling visiting his family, watching his beloved Montreal Canadians, and acting as Santa Claus during the Christmas season.
Gérard was predeceased by his parents. He is survived by his brothers Edmond (Patsy), Léo (Bernice), Marcel (Norma) and Maurice (Charline) and his sister Marie-Thérèse (Michel), many nieces and nephews and a large extended family and friends.
Visitations will be held at Évangéline Funeral CO-OP, 900 Route 124, Urbainville, on Thursday, November 3rd from 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Mass at the Saint-Philippe et Saint-Jacques Church, Egmont Bay on Friday, November 4th at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Alzheimer's society of New Brunswick an organization Gérard felt strongly about, or any of your choice.
