Obituary of Gallant, Elmer Joseph
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our dear husband, father, brother, grandfather and great grandfather at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Saturday, December 17, 2022 of Elmer Joseph Gallant of Le Chez-Nous and formerly of Abram-Village, age 89 years. Born June 3, 1933, he was the son of the late Cyrus Gallant and the late Edna (née Arsenault) Gallant of Urbainville.
Elmer is survived by his beloved wife Avola (Arsenault) Gallant and by his cherished children Wayne (Léona), Claude (Darlene), Carol (Paul), Paul (Émilie), Linda (Melvin), Allen (Patricia), Tim, Ruth (Ronald) and by his sister Louise (José-deceased) and his brother Dolor (Mélina). He will forever be missed by his 21 grandchildren and his 15 great grandchildren, by several nieces and nephews and by sister-in-law Evelyn (Faustin) Gallant.
He was predeceased by his parents Cyrus and Edna Gallant, brothers and sister Donat, Rita, Edmond, Tilmon, Edgar, Gustave and by brothers and sisters-in-law Léo, Étienne, Thérèse, Ida, Marie, Rita, Tilmon, Clément and Anna.
Resting at the Évangéline Funeral Home, 900 route 124, Urbainville for visitations on Tuesday, December 20, 2022 from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Funeral mass will be held at the Saint-Philippe et Saint-Jacques Church, Egmont Bay on Wednesday, December 21 at 3 p.m. Interment in the Church Cemetery will be held at a later date.
