I worked with Ron in the Assiniboia branch of BOM. We had a lot of fun together especially as his romance with Jan got more and more serious. Jack & I went skiing with them and partied with them too. We were at their wedding and they were at ours! We visited them in North Battleford and once in awhile met up in Moose Jaw when they came to visit Jan's family. I was shocked when Jan passed so young and just as shocked to hear of Ron's death - so hard to believe. Our sympathy to his girls Sarah,Kristin and Jenna and also to Jeannie and her family as well as his mother and brother and families. Tannis & Jack Sewell Assiniboia, Sask

I am sorry to hear of Ron†™s passing. I first met Ron when I worked for BMO in North Battleford. There wasn†™t a better guy to work with. He shared his knowledge and his sense of humour, which made the days go by much quicker! Ron like to tease me about a certain pig farmer and he couldn†™t help himself when this poor guy was in the teller line 😂 May God bless Ron as He welcomes him into paradise. Sending so much love to Ron†™s family.

I have such fond memories of Mr. Boychuk growing up. I went to elementary and high school with Kristin and still remember him showing us magic tricks before school when we were young. He always made me feel so important and cared for. One of my favorite memories of Mr. Boychuk is how he would always greet me, both as a kid and an adult, with a smile and a "How are you?". Of course I would reply "Good" just to see his joking smirk and a "Good for what!" response. Whenever I met up with him, he would make sure to stop and chat to catch up with what was new in my life - most recently, just a few months ago.
I will miss his kind, light-hearted, caring nature. I hope you are all able to find comfort in the memories.

Deepest condolences to the Boychuk family. I was fortunate to know Ron most of my life as we attended school in Kamsack. I worked for CIBC and when I would run into him over the years, there was friendly banter back and forth about working for the competitor. Every year we would hold a bake sale in support of cancer †œRun for the Cure† , Ron would order a lemon pie ahead of time. We ran into him downtown about a month ago and he shared his recovery from cancer and was looking forward to the holidays and time with his family. Ron was definitely one of the good guys, I feel blessed to have known him. Surround yourself with love and memories knowing how much he loved you all.

My heartfelt condolences go out to Ron's family and those that knew him. I am still stunned at the news of losing Ron so suddenly.
Those that knew Ron as I did can attest to his gentle nature and being very generous with this time. Ron was never too busy to have a chat or take a phone call from a customer or colleague during his work day...he made time for you....he made time for me.
Social times with Ron were very entertaining as well, and his hospitality overflowed.
Ron we miss you and will hang on to the many fond memories.

Bob had the great pleasure of working with Ron in both Assiniboia and Yorkton BMO branches. We knew Ron and his beloved wife Jan during their time together. They looked after our young children, on a number of occasions and quickly gained their admiration and respect. A blaring Top Gun is still one of our son†™s favourite movies. He first watched it with Ron … LOUD … on the best sound system at the time! We often reflect on the many memories we made with them. Our family was greatly touched knowing Ron.
Our deepest sympathies to Ron†™s loved ones … In time, may your memories bring you comfort and peace in your heart.

Sorry to hear of the loss of Ron and my condolences to all his family. He was a wonderful person. I had the benefit of working with Ron at Bank of Montreal and he was a great mentor to me and many others. He always worked hard to help his customers and he didn†™t shy away from having a tough conversation if that was needed. I really enjoyed, and will always remember, the times we were able to spend together on the road out visiting customers and talking business.

Our sincere condolences to the Boychuk family. Sorry for your loss.
Most recently, Ron was our neighbour across the street at Madge Lake. We would wander over and say hi and end up visiting for an hour. He was a genuine person willing to help out with anything, lending tools or gas, or putting in/ taking out a dock.
In his North Battleford days, (We lived near Cochin) and would visit briefly at the bank, catching up with Kamsack gossip.
And in the early years, he and Randy were Neighbours across the back alley in Kamsack.
…. he will be missed…

I have so many fond memories of Ron. I first met Ron in the mid-80's when we both lived in North Battleford. We both loved snowmobiling and did a lot of that together. On our frequent snowmobile trips to Turtle Lake, Ron would always freak us out by bringing a big jug of pickled turkey gizzards. It brought him great pleasure to watch our looks of horror when he fished one of those things out of the jug and popped it in his mouth.
Ron was extremely generous. What was his was yours, no questions asked. He once lent a snowmobile to a mutual friend so he could go snowmobiling with me. Well the sled ended up in the bottom of the Battle River for awhile. But the news never phased kind hearted Ron at all.
I feel guilty about the disproportionate number of meals and drinks I had at his cabin, but Ron being Ron, that fact would never cross his mind.
I will always treasure the times that he and Jeannie would come out to the happy shack when we would sit by the woodstove under the dim light of the coleman lantern having a few drinks and talking. Bonnie and I loved spending time with them at our campsite in the summer, and our many get togethers for wings at BPs. They were the best of times. We are so sad that we are cheated out of more of those times, and that this should happen after he so courageously and gracefully battled and defeated cancer this past summer.
In many more ways than one, he was a giant of a man. We will miss you dearly buddy. Our deepest condolences to Jeannie, Sylvia, Sarah, Kyle, Kristin, Benjamin, Jenna and Sydney.

I had the great fortune to have worked with Ron for 10 years and in short, he changed my life. He was a mentor to me in my career, had faith in me and brought out the best in me. Beyond work, Ron was always open to a chat about family, kids, successes and challenges. I learned so much from him about work, but also about patience, compassion,
kindness, family, how to live a good life and was the big brother I never knew I was missing from my life. It was also Ron who, at what was the darkest time of my life, that he stepped in to push me in the right direction for help and quite possibly saved my life. I will miss you my friend. My sincerest condolences to everyone who loved Ron.

Q: What was one of your favorite qualities of Ronald "Ron"?
A: Ron was the most generous man I know. One of my sisters and I are low-income seniors. Ron always made sure we made it to family events (weddings especially). I so appreciated his help as we would not have been able to attend otherwise. I feel SO bad for the girls with both parents now gone. I wish I lived closer to them. Each one of the girls are so amazing: intelligent, gifted in many ways, have university degrees and are able to put together great offerings for weddings or funerals - despite their busyness and grief. They are a testimony to two awesome parents who instilled great values in them. Ron, I honestly thought you would live for many more years; so this comes as a shock to everyone I†™m sure. Have fun in Heaven! â¤ï¸
