Obituary of Virginia Flamant

<p>The family of Virginia Flamant of the Yorkton District Nursing Home, beloved wife of the late Dennis Flamant sadly announce her passing on Friday, December 2, 2022. Virginia was 80 years of age.</p><p>It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our sister and friend, Virginia Beatrice Flamant. Virginia passed away on December 2, 2022 at the age of 80 years. Virginia was born on January 4th, 1942 in White Fish Lake, Alberta to her proud parents John and Isabelle (nee Sawan) Gladue. She attended a residential school at White Fish Lake, Alberta.</p><p>Virginia met her first husband Robert Muschell. They spent approximately 20 years together. They were a match made in heaven. Robert was very kind hearted and always helped his wife with whatever she needed to do. Robert passed away on September 26th, 1997. Virginia met her second husband Dennis Flamant in Yorkton, SK. Dennis has also been friends with Robert for many years. After dating for a few years, Dennis finally proposed and they were married on July 15, 2006 at the Amy and Navy. Dennis would say Virginia was his true love. They spent almost 16 years married until Dennis passed away on June 11th, 2022.</p><p>Virginia loved listening to music and dancing. Her and Dennis spent many weekends at the City Limits dancing. Virginia fondly remembered her and Dennis&rsquo; trip to Edmonton about 12 years ago. Virginia&rsquo;s sister Gertie Gladue helped make the arrangements for their wonderful holiday. Approximately 10 years ago, Virginia was moved in to the Yorkton & District Nursing Home. She remained there until her passing.</p><p>Virginia is survived by her sister Gertie Gladue and her family and her brother Albert, all from Alberta, as well as numerous extended family and friends.</p><p>The Funeral Service was held on Monday, December 12, 2022 from the Yorkton Memorial Gardens Family Centre with Crystal Bailey, Certified Celebrant officiating. The interment followed in the Garden of Tranquility, Yorkton Memorial Gardens with Yolanda Adams, Troy Zieben, Larry Kowbel, Kathy Harbuz, Kevin Biehl and Brian Johnson serving as casket bearers.</p><p>Memorials in memory of Virginia Flamant may be made to the Yorkton Legion (387B Parkview Rd, Yorkton, SK S3N 2L4) as gifts of remembrance.</p><p>&nbsp;</p>
