Obituary of Steve Feszczyn
<p>The family of Steve Feszczyn of Kelliher, beloved husband of the late Noreen Feszczyn sadly announce his passing on Monday, December 5, 2022. Steve Feszczyn was born on January 10, 1927 in Kelliher, SK., to parents William and Lena (nee Baziuk) Feszczyn. On November 25, 1951 he married Noreen Komodowski and started his farm, just a few miles from where he was raised. Together they had five children. Time was spent serving on the Ituna Bon Accord council and joining the curling league. Farming was his passion. Even in his retirement, he "thought" like a farmer- "how much rain did we get"? "Harvest is late this year". While taking care of the homestead, he did manage to leave occasionally to travel to the States, B.C., Alberta and Manitoba. His motto was, "There's no place like home". He chose to stay there until the end as it brought him great joy. Steve passed away on December 5, 2022 at St. Peter's Hospital, Melville, SK. Steve was predeceased by his wife Noreen in January of 2019, sons Elmer in 2016 and Darrell in 2002. He is survived by his children: Larry (Darlene), Denise and Barry (Cathy), daughter-in-law Debbie, grandchildren; Jeff (Doray), Mark, Shane (Erin), Jason (Kristy), Cheryl (Ryan), Carol (Taylor), Craig, Daniel and Laura (Taylor), great grandchildren; Kylee, Avery, Wynn, Hudson, Ella, Lily, Cruz and Wyatt, his brother Fred Feszczyn and brother-in-law Leonard Komodowski. A Graveside Service was held on Thursday, December 8, 2022 from Kelliher Memorial Gardens with Crystal Bailey, Certified Celebrant officiating. The casket bearers were Shane Feszczyn, Jeff Feszczyn, Tom Leader, Billy Feszczyn, Matthew Dawson and Alan Eberle. Memorial donations may be made to a Charity of One's Choice as gifts of remembrance.
