Working in Sask Heath's central public health office, I came to know Athen through many senior public health inspector meetings throughout the years. Experienced and insightful when speaking he also could bring the group to ease with a contagious laugh or smile. I remember one work related overnight stay in Yorkton when he inivited me over to his place to socialize and meet his dear wife Emily. And what a lovely evening it was!
