Obituary of Sharon Jean Gwilliam
<p>The family of Sharon Gwilliam of Deer Park Villa, Ituna sadly announce her passing on Wednesday, November 2, 2022. Sharon was 68 years of age.</p><p>Sharon Jean Gwilliam was born in Wolseley Saskatchewan on January 11, 1954. She spent her childhood in Summerberry, Saskatchewan until she was 13 when she moved to the Valley View Centre in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. She lived there until August of 1998 when she was accepted as a permanent resident with Deer Park Villa Inc. in Ituna.</p><p>Sharon brought sunshine to her friends and staff at Deer Park Villa for the past 24 years. She was always full of happiness and love and brought the same out in anyone she encountered. She had an infectious laugh and big personality that brightened everyone’s day. Sharon found joy in her collection of babies and stuffed animals, music, and playing tricks on her roommates. She enjoyed games, listening to stories, and looking out her bedroom window. Mischief followed Sharon everywhere. This, coupled with her ninja stealthiness, allowed her to make everyone’s day a little more exciting! Sharon lived a full life and was able to experience many opportunities and accomplished countless goals. She left us on the morning of November 2, 2022, at the age of 68. She passed in her home surrounded by the care and support of her extended family.</p><p>Sharon was predeceased by her parents, Fred Gwilliam (July 1995), and Shirley Gwilliam (Nov 3rd, 2020) and will be fondly remembered by her siblings, David (Helen) Gwilliam, Terry (Carol) Gwilliam, Lloyd (Phyllis) Gwilliam, Doreen (Dave) Doucette, Joyce (late Willie Maier) Maier, Debbie Gwilliam (& family), Dawn (Martin) Dixon-Steinke, as well as many extended family and friends.</p><p>The Funeral Service was held on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 from the Chapel of Bailey’s Funeral Home, Ituna, Saskatchewan with<em> </em>Crystal Bailey as Celebrant. Tributes were given by Doreen Doucette and Amanda Beltrand. Musical Selections shared were ‘Scars in Heaven’, ‘What a Day That Will Be’ and ‘Homesick’. The inurnment will be held in the Spring of 2023 in the Summerberry Cemetery.</p><p>Memorials in memory of Sharon may be made to the Deer Park Villa (518 5 Ave NE, Ituna, SK S0A 1N0) as gifts of remembrance.</p>
