Obituary of deborah lynn cheben
Deborah “Debbie” Cheben was a loving wife, mother, and friend. She passed after a courageous two-year battle with pancreatic cancer on October 24th , 2022 in her home in Florida, surrounded by those who loved her.
She was born to Richard and Kay Hinkleman in New York in May of 1966. After graduating from high school, she joined the Army at the age of 18 and soon married the love of her life. In 2004, she graduated with a master’s degree in physical therapy and pursued a career in pediatrics. She loved the outdoors, including kayaking, hiking, and going to the beach. She knew the words to every song and could sing karaoke like no other person. She was full of life and laughter, always exhibiting kindness and always putting others first before herself. Her favorite things included spending time with her family (and friends that became family), and caring for two little boys, that she treated as her own grandchildren, Brayson and Adryan.
She leaves behind a loving husband of 35 years, Scot, two wonderful sons, Blake and Zach, and her mother, Kay. She also leaves behind, a large family filled with brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and
many close friends. Debbie leaves a big hole in our hearts, but we know she is reunited with her favorite
cat, Chalupa, who was reported “missing” for several weeks.
Donations and flowers are respectfully declined, but all are invited to a celebration of life service on
Friday, November 4th at 10:30am at St. Ann Catholic Church in Gulf Breeze, Florida.
