Eric “Rocky” Carver, 55, died on January 14, 2023, in Pensacola, Florida. Rocky was born in Miami, Florida on January 31, 1967. He graduated from South Pike High School. He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Eugene Carver, and stepfather, Jerry Newman, his uncle, Blaise Stemas Jr, his aunt, Mildred Graham. Rocky is survived by his mother, Theresa Ann Newman, and stepmother, Dean Carver. He is survived his children, Brittany Brewer and her husband, Ian Romero, Coty Carver, and Mattie Carver, his brothers and sisters, Charles “Chuck” Carver, Sheila Ann Carver, Lisa Mathews, her husband Matt Mathews, Linda Rios, her husband, Abraham Rios, and Greg Marchant. He is survived by his grandchildren, Brayden Romero, Breanna Bennet, Kallie Bennet, Amelia Pace, and Maverick Pace, and by his nieces and nephews, Brandy Penton and her husband, Butch Penton, their children, Alexis Graham, Jason Penton, Blaise Penton, and Dawson Penton. He is also survived by Marta Swanson, and Hannah Carver, as well as Jared Carver, Jacob Bridges, and Amanda McWhorter. He is survived by many great-nieces and nephews. He is also survived by Martha Carver, his life friend and mother of his children. Rocky worked for Delta Airlines for many years where he gained a loving family in both New Orleans, Louisiana and Pensacola, Florida. He loved sitting on his porch with his family and often found peace at the beach. He was involved in church and enjoyed sending uplifting messages to others. Funeral arrangements are scheduled for January 28, 2023, at 11AM at Kentwood Assembly of God at 205 Ave A in Kentwood, Louisiana, 70444 with visitation starting at 10 o'clock."
