Obituary of archie andrew lucas, jr.

Archie Andrew Lucas, 80, was called home on Thursday, February 2, 2023. Archie was born in June 1942 to Archie A. and Myrtle I. Lucas. Archie graduated from Pensacola Technical High School. He worked several occupations over the years, but the highlight of his career was owning and managing three local businesses in the Pensacola area for many years: Richey’s Bar and Package, Richey’s Lounge and Recreation, and Richey’s West. He never met a stranger and was known for his quick wit and sharp tongue. Archie is survived by his daughter, Sonja Hudson (Steve); son, Rodney Lucas (Monica); two precious granddaughters, Lindsey and Lauren Lucas of Dallas, Texas; and his best buddy, Buster. Visitation will be held Thursday, February 9, from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm, and services will be held immediately following from 12 - 1 pm. Both will occur at Family-Funeral and Cremation, 5627 N. Davis Hwy, Pensacola, Florida 32503. Private interment will be at Enon Baptist Church Walnut Hill, Florida.
