Obituary of edward leon charbonneau
Edward Leon Charbonneau of Destin, Florida passed away on Sunday, October 16, 2022 at the age of 58.
Edward is survived by his wife of 33 years, Dawn Charbonneau; daughter, Alexandria Charbonneau (grandog Beau) of Muskegon, Michigan; mother, Jacquelin Charbonneau; sister, Karen Charbonneau of Naples, Florida; brother, Gary (Vanessa) Charbonneau of Hammond, Indiana; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ronald (Wanda) Straker of Cadiz, Kentucky; brother-in-law, Aaron (Kathy) Straker of Merrillville, Indiana; sister-in-law, Amanda Bridges of Schererville, Indiana and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father, Leon Charbonneau, Jr. of Griffith, Indiana.
Edward liked to work hard so he could play hard. He was a realist who always had goals and a variety of careers, some of which included being a journeyman electrician for IBEW local 697 in Hammond, Indiana, owner for over 20 years of Lake Fanny Hooe Resort & Campground in Copper Harbor, Michigan and other entrepreneurial endeavors.
Edward's long time passions included attending rock concerts, rebuilding classic muscle cars, woodworking, home improvements, cooking, spending time with family and friends and enjoying the good life.
Friends and family received, Friday, October 21, 2022 at Family-Funeral & Cremation, 101 Mary Esther Blvd., Mary Esther, FL from 10-11 AM, where a funeral service will be held at 11AM. Burial will follow at 1PM at Gulf Cemetery, 1466 South County Highway 393, Santa Rosa Beach, FL 32459. Pastor Allen Newton officiating.
