Obituary of helen a. wanner
Helen A. Wanner of Belleville, New Jersey peacefully passed away on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at Fort Walton Beach, Florida while surrounded by her family. She was 75 years old.
Helen was born in Goshen, New York on August 22, 1947 to Walter and Evelyn Carey. She graduated from Monroe Woodbury High School, received her undergrad degree from Bard College and furthered her education obtaining two Master degrees from New Jersey Institute of Technology. She retired from New Jersey Institute of Technology after working in the Department of Continuing Professional Education for many years.
Helen spent many summers at Interlake R.V. Park and Campground enjoying the great outdoors with many seasonal camping friends. She also enjoyed reading, crafting, and tending to her plants.
Helen is survived by her sister, Kay Wright and her husband, Don of Fort Walton Beach, Florida as well as her nieces, Megan Scott (Joe) of Fort Walton Beach, Florida and Amanda Kenny (Mathew) of Simi Valley, California. Helen also had seven great nieces and nephews: Cameron Kenny, Madeline Kenny, Kennedy Scott, Allison Kenny, Andrew Kenny, Anthony Scott and Dylan Kate Scott. Helen will be missed by Max, her beloved King Charles Spaniel, who laid by her side until her very last day. She was predeceased in death by her nephew, Scott Wright and her parents, Walter and Evelyn Carey.
A memorial service will be held at a later time. Memorial donations in Helen’s name may be made to a charity of your choice.
