Obituary of michael gary hardie

Michael Gary Hardie, 73, of Fort Walton Beach, Florida lost his life to lung Cancer after a 5 year battle. He passed away at home on Saturday, December 17, 2022 with his family by his side. Michael was born on September 15, 1949 in Charleston, South Carolina to Betty Sue Powell and Elroy Hardie. He grew up in Fort Walton Beach, Florida and graduated from Choctow High School in 1969 and attended O.W.J.C. Michael was the owner of Hardies Plumbing, Navarre Beach Plumbing and Hardie Mobile Home Park. Michael leaves behind his mother, Betty Sue Carter; sisters, Paulette and Reba Williams; wife, Sharon Hardie; children, Jennifer Hardie, Kara Schillings, Shawnna Sue Hardie; and grandkids, Caleigh, Tristen, Ashton, Benjamin, and Alexander. He is preceded in death by his father, Elroy Hardie and brother, Dennis Hardie. Family and Friends are invited to attend Visitation Thursday, December 29, 2022, 12:00 PM at Family-Funeral & Cremation, 101 Mary Esther Blvd., Mary Esther, Florida 32569, where a Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 PM, then Internment to follow at Beal Memorial Cemetery, 316 Beal Pkwy NW, Fort Walton Beach, Florida 32548.
