Obituary of jimmy lee roy lindsey

Jimmy Lee Roy Lindsey, 65, of Mary Esther, Florida went to be with his lord and savior peacefully on Tuesday, December 20, 2022. He was born in Montgomery, Alabama on July 2, 1957, to the late Jimmy and Mattie Lindsey. Jimmy married his teenage love JoAnne Waites in 1975. He had a love for automobiles at an early age and began buying and selling cars with his father. After a lot of self-teaching would begin repairing vehicles for people from all around. Jimmy would ultimately accomplish his dream of owning his own business and opened Lindsey’s Auto Sales & Service in Montgomery, Alabama in 1997. He was known as an honest and fair businessman who only gave people what they really needed. After closing due to medical issues, he and his wife retired to Mary Esther, Florida. Jimmy is survived by His wife, Joanne Lindsey (Waites); three children, JoAnna Michelle Thompson (Ryan), Jimmy Lindsey Jr. (Jolene), Jenna Faia (Brandon); five grandchildren, Julianna, Jorja, Abigail, June and Finley; siblings, Lisa Talley (Tim) and Chris Lindsey (Stephanie). He is preceded in death by his parents. Jimmy and Mattie Lindsey and sisters Gloria Tanner and Shirley Bowden. Funeral arrangements are scheduled for Tuesday, December 27th at Family-Funeral & Cremation, 101 Mary Esther Blvd., Mary Esther, Florida 32569, (850)226-4240. Visitation will begin at 12:00 PM, Service to follow at 1:00 PM. Graveside prayer held immediately after at Beal Memorial Cemetery, 316 Beal Pkwy NW, Fort Walton Beach, Florida 32548.
