Obituary of marie annette borges

Marie Annette Borges, 79, of Santa Rosa Beach, Florida went to be with her Lord on January 7, 2023. She was born in Pontiac, Michigan on June 16, 1943 to Grant & Reba Smith. In 1958, Marie met David Earl Borges in Van Nuys, California at the Rainbow Roller Rink. They married on May 30, 1965 and were blessed with 6 children. Marie & David lived a life full of adventure, often picking up on a whim and road tripping across the country, covering the lower 48 states. They made beautiful memories together, wherever they went…always filled with love and laughter. Marie taught so many how to love, laugh, be patient, persevere, dance like nobody's watching, to only worry about the things you can control, as well as enlisting her love for the magic of Christmas in many children. Marie played an active role in helping David with his construction business as well as building her own successful real estate brokerage after the kids were grown and finally retiring to Santa Rosa Beach, Florida. Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her husband, David; their surviving children, Theresa, Lisa, Donald, Dennis, & Frank; 12 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; brothers, Grant & Earl; sisters, Gloria & Patricia and a host of devoted nieces, nephews, cousins & friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Michael; son, Kenneth and grandson, Matthew. Funeral arrangements are scheduled for 1:00 PM, Saturday, January 21st at Lisa’s Bay house.
