KATCHUK - Mr. Mike Katchuk, resident of Ituna, passed away on Wednesday, June 1, 2005 at the Yorkton Regional Health Centre. He was 84 years of age. Mike was born at Dysart, Saskatchewan on May 20, 1921; a son of Edna (nee Bulla) and John Katchuk. Later the family moved to a farm southwest of Wolseley to live near other relatives. The couple farmed in the Goodeve district and were active members of Holy Trinity Ukrainain Catholic Church. On May 15, 1982 Kay passed away suddenly, Mike stayed on the farm until 1985, but because of minor health problems he moved into Ituna, where he had since resided.
