Obituary of Sophie Kosteroski

The family of Sophie Kosteroski of Melville, beloved wife of the late Irwin Kosteroski sadly announce her passing on November 24, 2022. She was 91 years of age. Prayers will be held on Thursday, December 1, 2022 at 7:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Bailey's Funeral Home, Melville, with Pastor Kim Sherwin officiating. A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, December 2, 2022 at 11:00 a.m from the Melville Municipal Cemetery with Rev. Kim Sherwin officiating. Memorial donations in memory of Sophie may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Home, 100 Heritage Dr., Melville, SK. SOA 2P0 as gifts of remembrance. Sophie Kosteroski was born on September 9, 1931 at Hubbard, Saskatchewan, a daughter to Julia (nee Boyarski) and Fredrick Charish. She was raised in Hubbard where her parents had a store. In 1952 She married the love of her life Irwin and they moved to Melville. The couple were blessed with two children – Ron and Cyndi. Ron married Shelly in 1981 and they had two children, Kira and Chad. Cyndi married Rick Morris in 1981 and they had two children, Dallas and Willow. Sophie entered her eternal rest on Thursday, November 24, 2022 at St. Paul Lutheran Home in Melville. She was 91 years of age. Predeceased by her husband Irwin (July 2007) and her daughter Cyndi (October 2016). She leaves to cherish her memory son Ron (Shelly) of Melville and their children, Kira (Nathan) and their children, Kianna and Mackenzie) of Regina; Chad of Melville; Son-in-law Rick (children, Dallas (Tim) and Willow) of Lloydminster; Rick’s children, Tammy and Colin; sister, Irene of Toronto and several very dear and much loved nieces and nephews She often said that she was blessed to have such a loving family and some great friends.
