Obituary of eddie arnold Buchko
Eddie Arnold Buchko, age 71, of Pensacola, FL, passed away peacefully while under hospice care and with family at his side during his final days on January 2, 2023.
Eddie was born on June 11, 1951, in Pottstown, Pa, to John Buchko and Betty Ann Feltenberger (Sackle). After graduating at the age of 18 in 1969, Eddie enlisted in the United States Navy. He served as a Machinery Repairman Third Class Petty Officer (MR3), doing tours on the USS Sierra (AD-18) and the USS Corry (DD-817) until 1973. Following Eddie�s Navy tour, he joined the United States Army in 1974. He served as a 62B20 Engineer Equipment Repairman and 44E20 Machinist, reaching the enlisted rank of Staff Sergeant (SSG) before accepting a commission to Chief Warrant Officer 1 (CWO) as a 621AO Engineer Equipment Repair Technician with the Army Corp of Engineers. After Eddie�s military service, he spent many enjoyable years as a mechanic and loved tinkering with anything mechanical. He also
discovered his love for the open road as a truck driver. Eddie shared his passion for woodworking and auto repair with his son James, which has now been passed down to his grandchildren.
Eddie was preceded in death by his parents, brothers John (Olivia) Buchko and Peter Buchko, and sisters Hilda Giles and Mary Flores.
He is survived by his sisters Helen Buchko and Cheryl Myles, son James (Leia) Buchko, and grandchildren Jillian, Alexis, Emily, and Mason Buchko.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to The Rescued Rescuers: Dachshunds and Friends of the Emerald Coast. In honor of Eddie and his love for the breed.
