I have fond memories of visiting the farm and spending time with Katie, Walter and kids. She treated me like family; making a city kid help with chores and spoiling me with home made bakery items. I especially remember hot donuts for a cross country ski trip. I also remember how horrified I was finding out I just ate cow tongue! Katie was a wonderful role model to me. Rest in Peace.

We are so very sorry to learn of Katie’s passing. A wonderful hard working lady who was never idle. She will be missed by all who knew her. Rest In Peace Katie. Hugs to Walter and the family.

Katie was a wonderful person! I was a Lions member with her & Walter in Shell Lake! Katie was generous and kind, without expecting anything in return! She will be missed by all who knew her! Our sincerest condolences go out to Walter and family!
